The First Session

Often people can feel apprehensive about coming to therapy. This is perfectly normal. They usually say that making contact for the first time is the hardest part of the process. Are you ready to commit to yourself? If so, get in touch and we can talk things over. Then when you feel more comfortable we can begin.

About

When life trips us up we can often work it out with the support of family and friends. But when how we feel gets in the way of how we want to live our lives, talking to someone trained to listen, can be more useful.

We are a small, group practice offering a range of talking therapies for individuals of all ages, groups & corporate clients.

We can relate to the challenges life throws up and appreciate that it can be difficult to prioritize ourself when life is so busy.

CBT therapy sessions can offer a quiet, safe and consistent space for you to feel listened to, without judgement in a way we don't often have time for in the busy lives we lead.

We work face to face at our Broughton St Offices & online, offering therapy in English, Italian, Spanish, Urdu & Polish.

When you are ready to commit to yourself and change the way you feel, we are here to listen.

Our office is a safe, spacious, calm and quiet space. Your chair is there waiting for we you and we will always be ready to listen. During therapy we can work on any thoughts or behaviours that keep you stuck and help you feel better.

Testimonials

I had CBT with Jacqueline over a period of months and found it very helpful. Jacqueline was professional, supportive and understanding. She used useful and achievable techniques and practices that really made me reflect and make changes. An all round very positive experience and I would not hesitate to recommend Jacqueline.

“I absolutely HATE Zoom, but during Covid and lockdown, our Anxiety Management group was one of the things that kept me going. Me and some of the others then set up a What’s App peer support group and we still meet up for the walk and talk, when things got difficult. You and Maria were a great support and I wish you lots of luck in your new venture.

Dave, Ayrshire

I went into therapy having done a lot of the work myself. I needed support in understanding the root causes of my anxiety and intense feelings, as well as support in discussing certain past events and current beliefs. Jacqueline was so helpful in not only educating me on thought processes and root causes, but also in supporting me when I felt particularly low and wrought with difficult feelings.

Sarah, Westlothian

I came to Jacqueline looking for CBT to help with my anxiety. From January until May 2022 we had in - person sessions working through areas of social, work related and relationships. Jacqueline put me at ease and I really liked her practical approach. It all felt judgement free. Despite some bumps in the road, I felt we made good progress and I have got tools I've taken away to help me in lots of aspects of life

EI, Edinburgh

Was an interesting, useful experience and I am continuing to work on some strategies I was introduced to.
