Your First Session

Often people can feel apprehensive about coming to therapy. This is perfectly normal. They usually say that making contact for the first time is the hardest part of the process.

Are you ready to commit to yourself?

If so, get in touch and we can talk things over. Then when you feel more comfortable we can begin.

Our Mission

When life trips us up we can often work it out with the support of family and friends. But when how we feel gets in the way of how we want to live our lives, talking to someone trained to listen, can be more useful.

We are a small, group practice offering a range of talking therapies for individuals of all ages, groups & corporate clients.

We can relate to the challenges life throws up and appreciate that it can be difficult to prioritize ourself when life is so busy.

Our therapy sessions can offer a quiet, safe and consistent space for you to feel listened to, without judgement in a way we don't often have time for in the busy lives we lead.

We work face to face at our Goldenacre offices & online, offering therapy in English, Italian, Spanish, Urdu & Polish.

When you are ready to commit to yourself and change the way you feel, we are here to listen.

Our office is a safe, spacious, calm and quiet space. Your chair is there waiting for you and we will always be ready to listen. During therapy we can work on any thoughts or behaviours that keep you stuck and help you feel better.

Testimonials

I had CBT with Jacqueline over a period of months and found it very helpful. Jacqueline was professional, supportive and understanding. She used useful and achievable techniques and practices that really made me reflect and make changes. An all round very positive experience and I would not hesitate to recommend Jacqueline.

I went into therapy having done a lot of the work myself. I needed support in understanding the root causes of my anxiety and intense feelings, as well as support in discussing certain past events and current beliefs. Jacqueline was so helpful in not only educating me on thought processes and root causes, but also in supporting me when I felt particularly low and wrought with difficult feelings.

Sarah, Westlothian

Was an interesting, useful experience and I am continuing to work on some strategies I was introduced to by Miriam. It's hard to find a therapist who can work round shifts. Miriam has been so helpful.

John, Livingston

As a student I don't have much money. Over the years my anxiety increased to such a point that I found it difficult to cope. Being able to access therapy at a reduced rate with Kasia, has been invaluable for me. I learned ways to put my anxiety back in its box so I can get on living my life. I'll probably always be an anxious person but it no longer controls me.

Dave, Edinburgh

My partner and I struggled with various issues. We kept having the same fights over and over. We found couples therapy with Vanesa such a useful process. It was challenging to look at how we related to each other but Vanesa gently and supportively challenged us to communicate clearly and put each othe
